Carver County sheriff’s deputies caught a group of juveniles who had been running through backyards in Waconia, Minn., “batting” rocks at houses.
A Lakefield, Minn. company is recalling 22 gas fireplace models due to the risk of explosions. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Hussong Manufacturing is recalling their direct-vent gas fireplaces and gas fireplace inserts that use the American Flame-brand main control modules. The fireplaces – sold under the names Kozy Heat Fireplaces, Ambiance Fireplace and Stellar Hearth Products – were made between Oct. 2009 and April 2013.
Police in Hudson, Wis., are looking for a person who apparently drove a car through the front entrance of the community corrections building Monday morning, started a fire inside and then fled the scene. Authorities said the incident happened just before 6:30 a.m. Monday as they responded to a report of property damage.
Red Bull is now accepting applications to compete in next year’s Red Bull Crashed Ice Championship in St. Paul. In January, the event brought tens of thousands of spectators to the St. Paul area. Some neighbors complained of property damage caused by the crowd.
