DWI courts are expanding to three counties in northwestern Minnesota. On Jan. 1, DWI court programs will open in Norman, Polk and Red Lake counties.
All three champions from last year have returned to the Minnesota state high school baseball tournament to defend their titles. BOLD in Class 1A, Kasson-Mantorville in Class 2A and Mounds View in Class 3A each qualified again this season. The tournament begins Thursday, with Class 1A games in Chaska and Jordan, Class 2A games in St. Cloud and Class 3A games in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
It took more than two years to upgrade Minnesota’s 911 system, but work just wrapped up. Now, all emergency call centers across the state are connected to the Next Generation 911 network (NG911).
A Rogers woman was killed in a car crash in Red Lake County on Saturday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The fatal accident occurred just before 3 p.m. on Hwy 59, just north of Plummer. Krista M. Suronen, 42, was killed in the crash, which involved a 2009 Chevy Traverse.
