New research shows that if you have a lot of red meat in your diet it could increase your risk of type-2 diabetes. A study published in the JAMA Internal Medicine says researchers followed more than 100,000 people for four years. People who ate half a serving less of red meat a day reduced their risk of diabetes by 14 percent. But those who added a half serving increased their diabetes risk nearly 50 percent.
Diets would be a lot easier if cravings for things like ice cream, chocolate and chips didn’t get in the way. A crave can throw off your nutrition for the whole day. You can eat well and balanced all day and then end up blowing the whole thing on a huge slice of cake.
