A 30-year-old man will spend nearly five years in jail in a burglary spree that resulted in three dogs being killed in May 2013 in Northfield. Matthew David Jensen had been charged with one count of first-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree burglary, torturing animals and fifth-degree drug possession in connection with incident.
A third civil suit was filed Tuesday in a Rice County Court against Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Faribault, Minn., alleging that administrators knew a teacher had engaged in sexually-inappropriate behavior with male students. The student who filed the suit claims his was abused during the 2000-2001 school year by Lynn Seibel, according to the law firm of Jeff Anderson and Associates. Seibel was both a drama teacher and was a “dorm parent,” who lived with some of the students.
