The Minnesota State Patrol says two people are dead and one is seriously injured after the car they were in lost control and crossed into traffic on an icy Rice County highway Tuesday morning.

Woman Accused In U Student’s Death Arrested Again

One of the two people accused of killing a University of Minnesota student has been arrested again. Ashley Conrade was taken into custody for violating the terms of her release, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Cops: Girls Admit To Defacing Graves With Markers, Spray Paint

Police in southern Minnesota say that earlier this week two preteen girls defaced numerous grave markers with spray paint. The vandalism happened at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault, and the local police department says it was reported on Monday.

1 Killed In 3-Car Crash on I-35 In Faribault

One person is dead after a car hit two vehicles on Interstate 35 in Faribault, Minn. Sunday night. Mach Kuel, 39, of Coon Rapids died Sunday after the car he was traveling in hit one vehicle and side-swiped another. Police said they responded to a call about an accident around 11: 17 p.m. Sunday.

2 Families Rescued By Boat, 3 Roads Washed Out In S. Metro

Two Dundas families had to be rescued from their homes by boat after nearly seven inches of rain fell over night in Rice County. According to Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn, four families total have been displaced in the small town of Dundas, located an hour south of the metro. Three roads are also washed out in Rice Country near Dundas, he said.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with breaking into multiple homes in Northfield, burgling the residences and killing three dogs. According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the home on the 700 block of College Street just after noon on May 8.
