Fire destroyed a home in Rogers Wednesday night, but spared the business next door. The fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. at the corner of Main Street and 129th Avenue North, and engulfed the house.
The first winter storm in the Twin Cities caused more than 100 accidents on Monday, and even police squad cars were involved in at least one crash. The Minnesota State Patrol says there were no serious injuries after multiple squad cars were hit by a semi-truck in Rogers late Monday night.

An Ohio man died Thursday after a car accident near Rogers, Minn. According to police the accident occurred just before 6 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of southbound Highway 1010 and South Diamond Lake Road.

Authorities are on the scene of a crash involving multiple vehicles in the northwest Twin Cities metro that has Interstate 94 at a standstill. Emergency personnel responded to the scene at about 1 p.m. Monday on eastbound I-94 near County Road 81 in the Rogers area.
One man was injured in a two-car crash near Rogers, Minn. Sunday afternoon. Forty-year-old Bryan McCarthy, of Waite Park, sustained non-life threatening injuries after his car skidded into another on Interstate 94.
A major highway expansion that’s been years in the making finally got underway Monday with a groundbreaking ceremony northwest of the Twin Cities. Construction crews will begin adding a new lane on either side of Interstate 94 between Rogers and St. Michael.

A 45-year-old woman was rescued by a good Samaritan Monday afternoon after her car went off the road and plunged into a holding pond in the northwest Twin Cities metro, according to police. Rogers Police said the incident happened just after 4 p.m. Monday on eastbound Interstate 94 near Highway 241 between Rogers and St. Michael.
People living in Rogers are being warned about a water main break in the city, according to officials. The break was so severe that Rogers’ water system experienced a dramatic draw down, draining the city’s four water towers in the process. The source of the leak, located by a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter, was a holding pond behind Camping World at 21200 Rogers Drive.
