A man with an axe who was lying in the grass by the Rosemount High School tennis courts was arrested Thursday afternoon.
It’s been more than three decades since the last time the Minnesota high school football championship was played outdoors. And like this year, weather played a key part. David McCoy shows why the 1981 was a game memorable for more than just its place in history.
Rosemount High School is known for their fine arts, and music in particular. Their marching band has played at the Rose Parade in California, for the world-champion Minnesota Lynx and even at last year’s We Day at the Xcel Energy Center.
They were recently voted on by WCCO-TV viewers as the best marching band in Minnesota, and now they’re going to the Rose Bowl. But the Rosemount High School marching band needs your help to get there.

An 18-year-old Rosemount man is accused of assaulting a classmate during a gym class football game last week, according to charges filed Tuesday in Dakota County Court.
Rosemount is off to a 2-0 start this year and has been in the state semi-finals in two of the last four years, but 12 years ago that would have seem liked an unachievable goal.
