A 41-year-old Worthington man is in the hospital after wind caused a semi’s trailer to tip and fall on top of the SUV he was driving on Monday. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2001 Honda CR-V was traveling westbound on Highway 60 west of Brewster during a strong thunderstorm at around 4:17 p.m. A 2014 Freightliner TR was traveling nearby with an empty trailer when a gust of wind blew the trailer onto the SUV.
Authorities are investigating after a man was apparently found in the back of a semi-trailer Thursday morning with severe burns in south Minneapolis. Police were called to a warehouse in the area of 46th Street and Hiawatha Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
Highway 55 is closed in both directions near Hamel after two semis collided Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
