Sunday liquor sales advocates are regrouping after a setback at the Minnesota Capitol. A provision that would have let taprooms sell growlers on Sundays was stripped Monday from a broader liquor bill in the Senate Tax Committee. Growlers are refillable bottles that may be taken away.

With the 2012 legislative session set to end Monday, it’ll take a lot of work to get the Vikings’ stadium bill to the governor’s desk. The Senate Tax Committee will have a hearing on the stadium bill later today, but this bill had been expected to come up before the Minnesota House and the Senate before the end of the week.
It was a day of twists and turns for the Vikings stadium at the Capitol on Wednesday. The bill got a going over by the Senate Finance Committee, and some star Vikings players made their own push for a new stadium to play in.
