A 47-year-old Le Center man was sentenced Wednesday in federal court for receiving several videos containing child pornography. Harold Duane Davenport was sentenced to 60 months of prison on one count of receipt of child pornography.
A Cokato man has been sentenced for drunkenly causing a car crash that killed three generations of a family last year in Kandiyohi County. Paul Wickenhauser will serve 67 months in prison – about 5 1/2 years – after pleading guilty to three counts of criminal vehicular homicide.
A St. Paul man was sentenced Wednesday for his role in a “car surfing” accident in August 2012 that killed 21-year-old Shawn Swanson, also of St. Paul. Cole T. Fohrenkamm, 22, was sentenced for reckless driving and will serve three years of probation, 30 days in jail and will complete 300 hours of community service after the incident that took place last year near Oakland, Wis. A 51-year-old Minneapolis man was sentenced Tuesday in federal court for robbing multiple Twin Cities banks. Phillip Leo Nietz was sentenced to 151 months in prison on one count of bank robbery, as well as three other bank robberies Nietz admitted to committing in his plea agreement.
The Belle Plaine police officer accused of driving under the influence in November 2012 while off-duty pleaded guilty on Wednesday to one gross misdemeanor count of DWI. Bryan Pasek’s second DWI charge and his speeding ticket for driving 96 mph in a 55 zone on Highway 169 at Park Boulevard were dismissed. Pasek had registered a 0.17 BAC at the time.
