Inver Grove Heights Man Sentenced To Prison For 6 Lbs. Of Cocaine

A 27-year-old Inver Grove Heights man was sentenced to prison on Monday in Dakota County court for possessing about 8 pounds of illegal narcotics. Mike Sanchez pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree controlled possession in receiving almost six pounds of cocaine and two pounds of methamphetamine on July 23, 2013 in Inver Grove Heights.

Le Center Man Sentenced To 60 Months In Prison For Child Porn

A 47-year-old Le Center man was sentenced Wednesday in federal court for receiving several videos containing child pornography. Harold Duane Davenport was sentenced to 60 months of prison on one count of receipt of child pornography.

Man Sentenced In Drunken Crash That Killed 3

A Cokato man has been sentenced for drunkenly causing a car crash that killed three generations of a family last year in Kandiyohi County. Paul Wickenhauser will serve 67 months in prison – about 5 1/2 years – after pleading guilty to three counts of criminal vehicular homicide.

St. Paul Man Sentenced For Role In Car-Surfing Death

A St. Paul man was sentenced Wednesday for his role in a “car surfing” accident in August 2012 that killed 21-year-old Shawn Swanson, also of St. Paul. Cole T. Fohrenkamm, 22, was sentenced for reckless driving and will serve three years of probation, 30 days in jail and will complete 300 hours of community service after the incident that took place last year near Oakland, Wis. One-quarter of Fohrenkamm’s community service has to involve educating others about the dangers of drinking and alcohol.

Mpls Man Gets 12 Years For Multiple Metro-Area Bank Robberies

A 51-year-old Minneapolis man was sentenced Tuesday in federal court for robbing multiple Twin Cities banks. Phillip Leo Nietz was sentenced to 151 months in prison on one count of bank robbery, as well as three other bank robberies Nietz admitted to committing in his plea agreement.

Off-Duty Belle Plaine Cop Sentenced For DWI

The Belle Plaine police officer accused of driving under the influence in November 2012 while off-duty pleaded guilty on Wednesday to one gross misdemeanor count of DWI. Bryan Pasek’s second DWI charge and his speeding ticket for driving 96 mph in a 55 zone on Highway 169 at Park Boulevard were dismissed. Pasek had registered a 0.17 BAC at the time.

A 55-year-old pastor from Cambridge, Minn., was sentenced Wednesday to 160 days in jail and 10 years of probation for sexually assaulting a mentee. Ryan Jay Muehlhauser had pleaded guilty in February to two felony counts of criminal sexual conduct.

Dakota County Judge Pleads Guilty To DWI

Dakota County District Judge Michael Vann Sovis pleaded guilty Wednesday morning to third-degree DWI, according to officials. Sovis, 63, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after smashing into three parked cars last Christmas Eve in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood.
