After losing their first regulation game in Big Ten Conference play Thursday night, the University of Minnesota men’s hockey team was swept in a 2-1 loss at Wisconsin Friday night.
Adam Wilcox made 38 saves in net as the No. 1-ranked Gophers hockey team beat No. 5-ranked St. Cloud State 4-1 Friday night in the North Star College Cup at Xcel Energy Center. Minnesota improved to 18-2-3 with the win and advanced to Saturday night’s championship game of the all-Minnesota tournament.
The University of Minnesota men’s hockey team stayed unbeaten after a dominating 6-1 win over No. 5-ranked Boston College on Sunday at Mariucci Arena. The Gophers (4-0-1) played the Eagles to a 3-3 tie Friday night, then had six different players score in Sunday’s win.
Alexander Krushelnyski had two goals and an assist in the third period as Colorado College rallied from a three-goal deficit to earn a 4-4 tie with Minnesota on Saturday.
