Man Dies 6 Years After Shooting In Minneapolis

Authorities said a man who was shot more than six years ago in Minneapolis and had been at an assisted living center died Wednesday. Authorities said the man was shot on Nov. 9, 2007, in an incident on the 3900 block of Lyndale Avenue North in Minneapolis.

Sheriff: Arden Hills Shooting Suspect Using Social Media

Ramsey County authorities say the man suspected of shooting and killing his former lover early last week is likely relying on social media to find shelter while on the run from authorities. The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office said that Lyle “Ty” Hoffman could be evading capture by using Craigslist and gay dating applications.

A 38-year-old woman is in custody after allegedly shooting a man, who first told authorities his wound was self-inflicted. The Pine County Sheriff’s Office says they received report of the shooting on Tuesday at about 6:05 p.m. at 23285 Farm To Market Road in Sturgeon Lake.

Friends Collect $10K In Reward Fund To Find Arden Hills Suspect

Friends of the man gunned down at a Twin Cities gas station have now created a reward fund in hopes of finding the shooter, and have already collected $10,000. Kelly Phillips was shot and killed at a Holiday gas station in Arden Hills last week. Police believe Phillips’ ex-boyfriend Lyle “Ty” Hoffman is responsible for his death.

Man Gets Maximum Sentence In Mpls. Shooting

A 25-year-old St. Paul man was sentenced to more than 18 years in prison for shooting a man in a Minneapolis grocery store. Hennepin County District Court Judge Daniel Moreno sentenced Zakaria Yusuf on Monday to 219 months in prison for second-degree attempted murder and being a felon in possession of a gun, the county attorney’s office announced on Wednesday.

Zumberge Murder Case Comes To A Sudden Close

Both sides have rested in the case of a New Brighton woman charged with aiding her husband in the killing of a neighbor. Paula Zumberge, 50, and her husband Neal, 57, were expected to take the stand on Wednesday when her defense attorneys began presenting their case. Nine people, including a Minnesota Vikings player, are recovering after a shooting at a Minneapolis nightclub early Saturday morning. That business is now shut down indefinitely, according to its owners. Police said the incident started just before 2 a,m. Saturday, when a suspect started shooting into the crowd at the 400 Soundbar.
