Police Seek Leads In NE Minneapolis Homicide

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding those responsible for killing a Northeast Minneapolis man last weekend. The shooting happened just after 6 a.m. Sunday, and investigators believe it was a case of a robbery gone wrong.

10-Month-Old Almost Shot By High-Powered Rifle

Bloomington police say it is a miracle that a 10-month-old boy was not killed after a round from a high-powered rifle hit his crib, missing his head by inches. Ten-month-old Charlie Sewell was asleep when a man visiting the home next door accidentally discharged a semi-automatic rifle.

Man Dies 6 Weeks After Shooting At 400 Soundbar

A 27-year-old Bloomington man died on Sunday, about six weeks after being shot in an incident at a downtown Minneapolis nightclub. Minneapolis Police say the shooting happened at about 1:40 a.m. on Aug. 8 at 400 Soundbar, located on the 400 block of 3rd Avenue North.

St. Cloud Man Arrested For Alleged Drive-By Shooting Of Woman

A 19-year-old St. Cloud man is in the Stearns County Jail after being suspected of a drive-by shooting Tuesday that injured one woman. According to St. Cloud Police, Malcolm Cooper is believed to have fired shots at a 19-year-old woman from his vehicle just before 1 p.m. on the 700 block of 13th Street South.

Man Released After Claiming Self Defense In Fatal Mpls. Shooting

A 21-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murdering an Edina teen in north Minneapolis this past weekend has been released. Authorities believe he was acting in self-defense when he fatally shot 18-year-old Earl Malone Saturday night at the intersection of Knox Avenue North and 26th Street.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says a Polk County deputy was shot and injured near Crookston Thursday afternoon. Police received a report of a shooting just before 1 p.m. inside a home on the 28000 block of 300th Street Southwest in rural Polk County.

Police: 2 Minneapolis Shootings Connected

Police say two shootings that left one teen dead and two injured in north Minneapolis were related. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday identified the boy who died of multiple gunshot wounds as 17-year-old Jemario Langston.

Ty Hoffman’s Bail Set At $2 Million

After a month on the run, suspected killer Ty Hoffman appeared in court on second-degree murder charges Friday afternoon, and bail was set at $2 million. Hoffman was formally charged Thursday with second-degree intentional murder. On Friday afternoon, he appeared in court wearing a bulletproof vest and no handcuffs.

Shakopee Police: Ty Hoffman Arrested Without Incident

Shakopee Police say that they have arrested Lyle “Ty” Hoffman, who is suspected of shooting and killing a man at an Arden Hills gas station last month. Police received a report of a suspicious man in the Southbridge Crossing Shopping Center in Shakopee at about 10:17 a.m. Thursday.
