Boy, 17, Shot Dead In Minneapolis Identified

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has released the identity of the 17-year-old who was shot and killed over the weekend. Police were called to the 1600 block of Newton Avenue North just before 2 a.m. Sunday on a report of a shooting.

Court Appearance Postponed For Man Who Allegedly Shot At Neighbor, Son

A Carver Co. man who allegedly shot at his neighbors while they farmed has had his court date postponed. Kenneth Walsh, 51, has been charged with attempted murder in the first degree and attempted murder in the second degree for allegedly shooting at his neighbor and his neighbor’s son while they were farming.

Man Left Paralyzed After 2013 Shooting Dies

A man who was shot in 2013 has died due to complications from the gunshot wood. Larry Jones, 41, was shot on Nov. 4 in the 2000 block of Irving Avenue North. According to police, Jones was a passenger in a car when the shooting took place. Witnesses of the shooting said it may have been drug related.

New Evidence Leads To Arrests In 1999 Shooting

New evidence had led to an arrest and new charges in a deadly shooting from 15 years ago. Hennepin County prosecutors say in July of 1999, Earl Vang and Tou Lu Yang killed Miguel McElroy and hurt his father. It was part of a gang-related drug deal.

Mpls. Man Gets 25 Years For Shooting Boy, 2 Others

A 35-year-old Minneapolis man was sentenced to more than 25 years in prison for shooting a 4-year-old boy and two others last June, according to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. Deontray Vershon Tate was convicted on two counts of first-degree assault in March for a shooting that happened on the morning of June 25, 2013 near the 3600 block of Penn Avenue North in Minneapolis.

1 Injured After Shooting Outside Hennepin County Medical Center

Police are investigating a shooting outside Hennepin County Medical Center that left one person shot. Minneapolis Police say the shooting happened around 12:53 p.m. Wednesday, on the corner of 8th Street and Park Avenue. The shooter allegedly shot at a vehicle before fleeing the scene. A woman inside the car was struck.
