One person is injured after a shooting in North Minneapolis Tuesday night. Minneapolis Police say the shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday near North 30th Avenue and Girard Avenue North.
One person is in the hospital after a shooting in north Minneapolis Sunday afternoon. According to authorities, police responded to call of shots being fired in the 3100 block of Emerson Avenue. Two adult brothers were fighting when a third man drove up.
A Litchfield, Minn. man is being held on charges of second degree assault after he opened fire at a police officer in St. Cloud, Minn., according to police. Benton County Sheriff’s Office said around 6 p.m. officers responded to a call from a man stating he was planning to open fire at a storage facility he was at in St. Cloud, Minn.

A Minneapolis man has been charged with second degree murder and attempted second degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in north Minneapolis that occurred over Fourth of July weekend, according to Hennepin County Attorney Michael O. Freeman. Marco Anthony Gresham, 24, was charged with one count second degree murder in the death of Francesca Desandre and one count of attempted second degree murder in the shooting of another woman.

According to officials, police responded to a call of a possible home intrusion around 5:17 p.m. When officers reached the house they learned the male who called had suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Seversen was laid to rest Saturday, 23 years to the day after he was shot in Webster, Wisconsin. Seversen was when he was was trying to stop a gunman who killed another deputy. He was 27 years old. Seversen died Monday of medical complications at 50 years old.
