The Minnesota Twins have signed right-handed pitcher Mark Hamburger again. The St. Paul Saints announced Tuesday the 26-year-old Hamburger has joined the Twins. He posted a 3.28 ERA in 21 starts this season for the independent league team.
The Metropolitan Sport Facilities Authority was supposed to vote later this week on some of the final agreements for the Vikings stadium deal. But those votes have been postponed after Gov. Mark Dayton called for a review of the nearly $1 billion stadium plan.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to terms on a five-year deal with restricted free agent center Nikola Pekovic. Wolves president of basketball operations Flip Saunders tweets that the deal is done. Saunders and Pekovic’s agent, Jeff Schwartz, spent more than a month negotiating the deal, which was completed on Wednesday.
Desmond Bishop’s first practice with the Minnesota Vikings was also his first in almost a year. The recently signed linebacker missed last season with Green Bay because of a torn right hamstring, an injury he suffered in an exhibition game. The Packers cut him last month, and he joined the rival Vikings soon after.
