A car crashed into a south Minneapolis home early Saturday morning, according to police. The crash occurred in the 3000 block of 2nd Avenue South around 4 a.m. The driver of the vehicle plowed through the fence and smashed into the front porch of the home.

The chilling kidnapping and robbery of a young woman in Minneapolis was captured on high-definition surveillance cameras. It happened early last Tuesday morning in south Minneapolis. In the video, you can see a woman walking with two of the suspects down Lyndale Avenue. Look closely, and you can see she is in a headlock.

Police have identified the man and woman who were found dead following a Friday night shooting in south Minneapolis. Dahir Ahmed Abdirahman, 29, of Minneapolis and Tahany Abdi Omar Erbob, 24, of Columbia Heights, were found dead in a car late Friday night.

A 28-year-old woman has been charged in connection to a man found shot to death in south Minneapolis. On Monday, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office charges Maureen Ndidiamaka Onyelobi of Minneapolis with second-degree murder.

Crews To Work All Night To Contain Mpls. Gas Leak

Buildings were evacuated in south Minneapolis Wednesday afternoon after fire officials detected natural gas following a report of a leak. Workers at a grain elevator at 35th Street and Hiawatha Avenue called 911 to report a strong smell of natural gas at about 4:30 p.m., according to a CenterPoint Energy spokesperson. Minneapolis Fire crews did not detect a leak in the grain elevator, but did find a leak on the street nearby.

Fundraiser Sells Cupcakes To Help A Puppy Mill Pooch

Man’s best friend was the man of the hour Saturday afternoon at a fundraiser in south Minneapolis. Underdog Rescue and Sweet Retreat Bakery on 50th Street and France Avenue hosted the event for a dog named Turtle, a puppy-mill survivor. Turtle has been going through treatments for pneumonia, and his vet bills have reached more than $10,000. Shannon McKenzie, director of Underdog Rescue, says every $1 cupcake sold at the fundraiser will help offset some of those expenses.
