Sid Hartman: 60 Years On WCCO Radio

On Sept. 1, 1955, Sid Hartman began doing sports on WCCO Radio. He had been on WLOL reporting on Gopher football and finally got the call from WCCO General Manager Larry Haeg to come over to the Good Neighbor. And for 60 year, almost every single day of the week (to this day), you hear Sid Hartman on WCCO.

Birthday Wishes Pour In As Sid Hartman Turns 95

The well-wishes came pouring in all Sunday morning on WCCO’s Sports Huddle radio show. They were all for long-time host and sports legend Sid Hartman, who celebrated his 95th birthday by coming to work at WCCO’s downtown Minneapolis studios.
