6th Grader To Represent Minn. At Geographic Bee

A 6th-grader from Hennepin County Home Schools has won a statewide geography bee, earning an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., for next month’s national finals. Lucas Eggers took top honors Friday in the state-level 2014 Geographic Bee at St. Cloud State University. The event is organized by the National Geographic Society.
