People living in the southwest metro might have noticed an unpleasant smell over the past couple of days. “It smelled like raw sewage,” Shakopee resident Mike Moll said. “It was absolutely disgusting.”
Crews were investigating what may have caused a suspicious odor to permeate part of the University of Minnesota campus Thursday.
A strange plant known as the voodoo lily is expected to bloom at the Minnesota Zoo in the next few days, filling the air with a rotting smell similar to the better known corpse flower.
