A missing St. Anthony man was found dead inside of a vehicle late Thursday morning. According to St. Anthony Police, the body of 56-year-old Todd Hoffstrom was found on the 2700 block of Fairview Avenue North in Roseville.
Family and friends are in shock after a prominent Twin Cities doctor was gunned down in his home in Orono Friday night. According to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, police were called to a home on the 1000 block of Heritage Road just before 9 p.m., where they found a man in the front of the property with a handgun. Authorities said shots were exchanged and police killed the man. Law enforcement searched the house and found another man, later identified as Dr. Stephen Larson, dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Larson was a well-known physician who delivered thousands of babies in his career.
The father of a young teenager killed while biking to a friend’s house says he has forgiven the 16-year-old driver that took his son’s life. Colin Larson died Thursday night just a block from his home in Cambridge. His family says the 13-year-old was very passionate about his faith. His church canceled a retreat, and Larson’s friends instead met at the church for a memorial. Larson’s dad, Stephen Larson, told WCCO that through his family’s grief, they’re also thinking of the driver.
