Strawberry season flew by quickly again this year. The season usually lasts until the Fourth of July holiday, but due to odd weather conditions over the past couple of years, strawberry crops have been increasingly unreliable.
Minnesota growers expect a sensational strawberry season. Minnesota strawberries are ripening early, as much as two to three weeks ahead of normal, and most growers are reporting an excellent crop.
If you were hoping to get out and pick some Minnesota strawberries this year. you may be out of luck. This year’s season was very short-lived.
