Like many places that endure long, difficult winters, Minnesota comes alive when the weather warms up. So many people from the Twin Cities — as Minneapolis and St. Paul are known — head to lakes in northern parts of the state that the city’s attractions truly open up to out-of-towners. And as in any urban area, some of the best are free.

White Substance Sent To Governor’s Mansion Found To Be Non-Toxic

A hazardous materials team was called to the Governor’s Mansion Monday afternoon after a staffer opened a letter covered in a small amount of white powder. Staff members called the State Patrol who then called in the St. Paul Fire Department. Firefighters, wearing protective jumpsuits, were sent in to try and figure out what that powder was.

Bicyclist Struck By SUV In St. Paul ID’d

A 51-year-old Minneapolis man who was struck by an SUV in St. Paul Saturday morning has been identified. St. Paul Police say David Wuest was biking down Summit Avenue when an SUV struck him as he crossed Snelling Avenue. The driver called 911.
