New Brighton, Fridley & Mpls. Police Team Up To Find Armed Robbers

Minneapolis, New Brighton and Fridley police departments are asking for the public’s help in identifying two armed men who may have robbed two gas stations in the past week. The first robbery happened at 5:45 a.m. last Friday at a New Brighton gas station near Silver Lake Road and West River Road East, according to Minneapolis Police. Investigators think the same men may have robbed a Fridley SuperAmerica at 5667 University Ave. NE on Thursday morning, also at 5:45 a.m. A shot was fired during Thursday’s robbery, but no one was injured.

Thief Swipes Donation Jar, Coffee From Gas Station

Savage Police are investigating after a man stole a donation jar intended to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network from a gas station early Thursday morning. According to police, the thief entered the Super America on the 14200 block of O’Connell Road at about 3 a.m. and made himself a cappuccino.

It was just around 4 a.m. when the SuperAmerica at 60th Street and Portland Avenue in Minneapolis became the first target. Police say a man, pointed a pistol at the clerk and demanded cash. From there, the robber headed into Uptown and hit a 24-hour Walgreens store.

St. Paul Police are looking for a suspect accused of stealing a service dog outside a local gas station. According to authorities, the dog was stolen around 7:10 p.m. Sunday outside the Super America at 399 N. Lexington.
