Fans of home-brewed beer from across the state met in Minneapolis on Sunday for beers and brewing advice. The American Homebrewers Association hosts a series of these rallies nationwide. Sunday’s event took place at Surly Brewing Company.
It’s been four years in the making and it took a change in the law to make it all happen. Friday morning, Surly Brewing’s $30 million destination brewery opened to a packed crowd.
Surly Brewing has hired Jorge Guzman to be the executive chef for the new full service restaurant that will be a part of the $30-million plus destination brewery the company is planning to open. Guzman has been the executive chef at Solera in downtown Minneapolis for more than three years.
