Adrian Peterson’s Appeal Denied, Suspension Upheld

The NFL’s hard line on Adrian Peterson held up. The league-appointed arbitrator for Peterson’s appeal affirmed the unpaid suspension until at least next spring, the final result of the child-abuse case that kept the Minnesota running back out of all but one game this season and widened the rift between the NFL and its players over the fairness of the disciplinary process.

A Minnesota mother is coming to the defense of the Vikings’ star running back. Adrian Peterson is charged with hitting his 4-year-old son with a wooden switch in Texas. Two years ago, a mom named April did something similar at a beach in northern Minnesota.

Light Rail Routes Renamed

Starting Friday, each route the light rail takes is getting a new name. They’ll be colors instead of being named after streets, or the areas they serve. The Hiawatha Light Rail Line will now be called the Metro Blue Line.
