Pushing the Tampa Bay Rays back toward .500 might be David Price’s way of dampening trade rumors. The All-Star left-hander pitched eight scoreless innings to win five straight starts for the first time in his major league career, and the Rays beat the Minnesota Twins 5-1 Saturday night for their fourth consecutive victory.

David Price allowed six hits in his first complete game of the season, David DeJesus drove in three runs, and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Minnesota Twins 7-3 on Tuesday night.

Tampa Bay improved to 14-4-2 this spring, the best record in the Grapefruit League. The Rays have allowed 67 runs, fewest in the majors. Ramos, trying to win the fifth spot in the rotation, struck out six in 4 2-3 scoreless innings. He gave up four hits and a walk, throwing 64 pitches before giving way to Grant Balfour.
Twins starter Vance Worley allowed 11 hits and seven earned runs in Minnesota’s 11-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night.
