Priest Accused of Molestation Suspended As Sex Ed Teacher

A former priest, accused of molesting two children decades ago, has been suspended from teaching sex education for Wright County. The county board recently canceled their contract with 79-year-old Harry Walsh. Walsh was one of five priests named in an internal archdiocese memo about parishes with “some connection to a history of clergy sexual abuse.”

Substitute Teacher Convicted Of Malicious Punishment

A substitute teacher at a Bloomington elementary school has been convicted of maliciously punishing students. Sixty-year-old Laura Avery was found guilty of four counts of malicious punishment of a child.

Charges: Wis. Teacher Accused Of Sex With Female Students

A 36-year-old Stillwater man who taught at a Wisconsin high school is accused of having sex with two students from that school at his home, according to charges filed Thursday by the Washington County Attorney.

A Minnesota high school teacher is accused of striking a student on the head with an 11-pound backpack early in the school year. According to court documents, the incident happened on Sept. 26, when biology teacher Robert Shoemaker allegedly struck the 17-year-old boy.
