Questions Remain In The Wake Of Uptown Shooting, Crash

Police say Terrance Franklin, a burglary suspect, was shot during a struggle with police. He died at the scene. Two officers were also shot, but we don’t yet know who shot them. Moments after that shooting, and not too far away, Ivan Romero died. A squad SUV responding to the shooting collided with the motorcycle he was driving with his girlfriend. She’s still recovering.

Families Of Mpls. Police Shooter, Crash Victim Seek Answers

Families and investigators want answers tonight, questioning why two men are dead and three others, including police officers, are in the hospital. Police were trying to catch Terrance Franklin yesterday afternoon for suspicion of burglary. They say he hid in a house near 27th and Bryant in Minneapolis.

Wounded Police Officers, Deceased Shooter ID’d

Two Minneapolis police officers are recovering Saturday after being shot while trying to stop a man suspected of burglary. The pursuit led officers to a home at 27th Street and Bryant Avenue yesterday afternoon, where the suspect, 22-year-old Terrance Franklin, entered a home to hide.
