Of the thousands who braved the cold Tuesday evening in Cold Spring, there were many who had never met Officer Tom Decker, who died last week in what authorities called a surprise attack.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said they are releasing the man who was arrested after the shooting death of a Cold Spring Police officer last week.
Members of the public who wish to honor Cold Spring Officer Tom Decker are being encouraged to pay respects along a procession route Wednesday morning. Up to 2,000 officers from around the country could attend Decker’s funeral.
