Saturday is the start of the two-day River’s Edge Music Festival. About 35,000 people are expected for the Harriet Island, event which features national acts like Dave Matthews and Tool as well as local acts.
Russ Korpela and Patrick Hunt are from Ellsworth, Wisconsin. They made the trip to St. Paul for the big festival. “I’ve been down here for Taste of Minnesota so it’s nice to see another music festival come to Harriet Island. And we are big fans of Tool, so we came to check it out,” said Korpela.
A reported “weapon” that caused a lockdown at a St. Cloud State University building turned out to be a tool for an educational project, according to police.
Dave Matthews Band and Tool will headline the first ever River’s Edge Festival, slated for Harriet Island in June.
