Good Samaritans Pull Driver From Burning Car

A 44-year-old man was rescued from a burning car by two passers-by after a rollover crash in northern Minnesota on Thursday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded to the crash at about 8:28 a.m. on eastbound Highway 169 in St. Louis County.

Eagle Crashes Into Boat Shrink Wrap On Interstate

A couple towing a boat to northern Minnesota got a surprise visitor: a bald eagle crashed through the shrink wrap while they were traveling on Interstate 94 in Wisconsin. The eagle dove across the top of the pickup truck of Scott and Marilyn Kregness as they crossed the Red Cedar River near Menomonie at about 70 miles an hour on Friday, according to the Chippewa Herald.

St. Louis County authorities have identified the man who died in a cabin fire on Aug. 17 outside of Tower, Minn. The remains of Josh Michael Haavisto, 37, of Virginia, Minn., were found in a destroyed shack that had burned.

1 Found Dead In Northern Minnesota Cabin Fire

Authorities are investigating after a body was found following a fire at a cabin just south of Tower, Minn., Saturday night, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities responded to a hunting shack at about 7:17 p.m. Saturday on Wiseman Road in Vermillion Lake Township, which is about six miles southwest of Tower, on a report of a fire.
