Gov. Mark Dayton says the state will open a European trade office in Germany to promote exports and foreign investment back in Minnesota. Dayton’s administration announced the new outpost while the governor was traveling in Germany as part of a 10-day trade mission.
Gov. Mark Dayton left Friday for a nine-day trade mission to South Korea, his first overseas trip as governor — something previous Minnesota governors have done. However, as a candidate, Dayton criticized former Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s trade missions.
