Pakistani Student Sues Minnesota Hospital, Doctor

The family of a Pakistani student who faced possible deportation while receiving medical care after an accident is now suing a northern Minnesota hospital and doctor. In a lawsuit filed Friday, the brother of Muhammed Shahzaib Bajwa claims a doctor at Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital didn’t quickly ensure that Bajwa’s airway was unobstructed. As a result, the lawsuit says, Bajwa suffered permanent brain damage.

Heavy Rains Cause Flooding In Superior

The city of Superior is flooded. University of Wisconsin-Superior spokeswoman Lynne Williams says they had to shut down campus Wednesday, because of power outages and flooded basements, some with several feet of water.
