Dozens Rally Outside Mpls. Police Dept. For Terrance Franklin

Chanting “no justice, no peace” a group of a couple of dozen protesters gathered outside the Minneapolis Police Department headquarters on Saturday afternoon. Organizers demand justice for 22-year-old Terrence Franklin who was killed by Minneapolis police in a basement shootout in Uptown back on May 10. Police said Franklin shot and injured two Minneapolis officers.

A Twin Cities art festival is celebrating a half-century of creativity. The 50th annual Uptown Art Fair starts Friday in Minneapolis and is one of the biggest in Minnesota. Participants were putting up tents for their displays before the sun came up Friday morning.
