1 Year Anniversary Of Deadly N. Mpls. Fire

We may never know what caused a deadly fire in north Minneapolis one year ago on Valentine’s Day. Five children — ages 18 months to 8 years old — were killed in the fire that started on the second floor of the family’s duplex.

Mpls. Community Helps Family Affected By Valentine’s Day Fire

A Minneapolis mother who lost nearly everything she owned in a deadly fire on Valentine’s Day is getting back on her feet thanks to the community. The Valentine’s Day blaze destroyed Latonya Garret’s apartment, and killed five children in the apartment above it.

Funeral Held For Children Who Died In Valentine’s Day Fire

The community came together Saturday to remember the five children who died when their house caught fire on Valentine’s Day. The funeral for 8-year-old Christopher, 6-year-old Mary, 4-year-old Fannie, 3-year-old Troy and 18-month-old Gwendolyn took place at Shiloh Temple in Minneapolis.
