When it’s cold outside, you can find cars and minivans warming up without the driver inside of them. And police say thieves are out looking them. Minneapolis Police tell WCCO they’ve seen a spike in car thefts in southeast Minneapolis’ Third Precinct. Officers say 17 cars were stolen between Dec. 10 and Dec. 18 in that part of the city.
St. Paul Police are encouraging drivers to take simple steps to avoid having their valuables stolen from their parked cars.
