Evidence From Little Falls Double Murder Trial Released

On Tuesday, a Little Falls, Minn. man was sentenced to life in prison without parole after he shot and killed two teenagers who broke into his home. Now that Byron Smith has been convicted of murder, the evidence that was used in his trial is being released. Much of it is too graphic or disturbing to be shown on TV.

Trevino Found Guilty, Kira’s Father: ‘Justice Has Been Done’

A jury has found Jeffery Trevino guilty of second-degree murder, but not guilty of second-degree murder with intent in the death of his wife, Kira Steger. The jurors found that Trevino did kill his wife but that it wasn’t his plan. They say her death happened during his attack.

A jury said the Wisconsin father accused of killing his three daughters had a mental illness or defect when he committed the crime. However, the jury believes Aaron Schaffhausen knew what he was doing and therefore has rejected his insanity plea.
