Wally the Beer Man
The vendor affectionately known as Wally the Beer Man will be selling beer at the Twins home opener this Friday.
“Wally the Beer Man” has been acquitted in the case of selling beer to an underage police decoy last September.
Wally the Beer Man’s case is now in the hands of a Hennepin County jury.
The trial began Wednesday for Wally “The Beer Man” McNeil and another vendor accused of selling beer to an underage police decoy at Target Field.
The jury selection process has begun in the trial of Wally “The Beer Man” McNeil and his co-defendant Ed Stepnick.
Wally the Beer Man will have his day in court this week on charges he sold beer to a minor at Target Field. He was fired by the company that handles the concessions at the Minnesota Twins home ballpark.
Fans going to Target Field this weekend won’t be seeing Wally the Beer Man in the stands. He’s been suspended indefinitely after being cited for selling alcohol to a minor.
So eight beer vendors at Target Field got busted selling beer to underage decoys in a sting by Minneapolis Police. On Twitter, @Natron44 asked: “If a bar sold to 8 underage kids it would have it’s license pulled. Why not a stadium?”
