This year’s unusually early spring is a boon for outdoor enthusiasts. Even though it’s still (barely) March, it’s definitely not too soon to make plans to visit one of Minnesota’s state parks this summer.
Schools around the metro are taking that week-long (more or less) holiday known as spring break, now through mid April. Whether going out of town isn’t in your financial picture right now, or you’d just rather stay home, here are some ideas to keep your family from going stir-crazy.

They know how to decorate for the holidays, and often incorporate found pieces of nature into the decorations. Given the likelihood of a brown Christmas this year, it’s heartening to find a place that can even make that look pretty.
