The Mankato Free Press reported that the defense attorney is asking the judge to seal a journal that authorities say includes details of the plot.
A judge is set to decide whether a teenager accused of plotting to bomb his school and kill his family should be tried as an adult. Seventeen-year-old John LaDue appeared in court late Monday morning.
