A Twin Cities father accused of leading police on a boat chase with a baby in tow has been charged Monday. Thirty-three-year-old Ryan Krueger, of Mound, was charged with one count each of fleeing a police officer, terroristic threats or reckless disregard, child endangerment and operating a motorboat under the influence of alcohol. According to authorities, around 8:30 p.m. on the Fourth of July, Krueger led police on a high-speed boat chase on Lake Minnetonka.
When responding to ice accidents, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s office says they want more resources.
The same week Hennepin County Deputies began patrolling Lake Minnetonka with snowmobiles, a Thin Ice Advisory has been issued. Friday’s advisory will remain in effect for all bodies of water in Hennepin County.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to volunteer as Special Deputies. Special Deputies perform public safety duties at community events, crime scenes, on water, and during emergencies. The Sheriff’s Office currently has 125 Special Deputies, who provided more than 15,300 hours of service in 2011 alone.
