A Robbinsdale man who pleaded guilty to shooting and killing a Roseville cab driver has been sentenced to more than 30 years in prison.
A 20-year-old Minneapolis man has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder by a Hennepin County Grand Jury on Thursday.
A witness of the March 14 murder of cab driver William Harper told Minneapolis Police that he was shot at various times by the suspect’s juvenile brother.
Bari Niaz owns Checker Cab. He said everyone is relieved to hear that 20-year-old Samuel Taylor is under arrest and facing charges for shooting 56-year-old William Harper last week.
Authorities said 20-year-old Samual Johosephat Taylor turned himself into police at about 9 p.m. Tuesday in connection with the March 14 murder of William Harper.
A call to action will be held in North Minneapolis on Saturday after gun violence took another life earlier this week.
