Sheriff: No Charges In Winona Crash That Killed 4

Authorities said Monday that criminal charges won’t be filed in a Jan. 5 crash in Winona that killed four people, including the driver. The Winona County Sheriff’s Office said the driver, Christina Hauser, had a blood alcohol level of .168 at the time of the crash and was speeding. The sheriff’s office said that because Hauser died, she couldn’t face criminal charges in the case.

River Search Continues For Missing Lanesboro Man

Five frigid days have passed since an SUV plunged into the Mississippi River, killing four people. The deadly accident happened Sunday morning in Winona after Andrew Kingsbury, Matthew Erickson, Christina Hauser and Blake Overland left a local bar. Searchers have spent the week trying to find the body of 29-year-old Kingsbury. Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude with the Winona County Sheriff’s office has spent several days aiding in the search.

Search Resumes For 4th Victim Presumed Drowned

A search for a fourth victim presumed drowned when an SUV plunged into the Mississippi River is resuming in Winona County. Sheriff Dave Brand says crews will drill holes in the ice and lower a camera into the river Tuesday.

22-Year-Old Wis. Man Dies In Minn. Towboat Accident

One person is missing after a towboat went over the rollers of the Dresbach dam in eastern Minnesota. La Crescent firefighter Cassie Buehler says three people were involved altogether but she doesn’t know the condition of the other two people.
