2 More E. Coli Cases Confirmed In Minnesota

The Minnesota Department of Health says two more cases of E. coli infection have been confirmed in the state. The department said Thursday it has been able to interview 14 of the 15 cases. Through the interviews, investigators confirmed that 12 of the ill people ate at an Applebee’s restaurant in Minnesota between June 23 and June 29.

Jewelry Store Robber Shoots Himself After Cops Show Up

An employee of a jewelry store in Woodbury, Minn. was held at gunpoint Saturday morning during an attempted robbery. According to the employee of Johnson Jewelers, the suspect entered the store around 9 a.m. The suspect produced a gun and the employee complied with the demands, filling a bag with jewelry.

Gov. Mark Dayton has denied a suggestion that he told the mother of a sick child to buy marijuana from the street because it is not a legal medicine in Minnesota. The accusation was made Wednesday by a Woodbury mother who has been advocating for legalizing medical marijuana. She was among a small group of supporters who met in early March with the governor.

Why Do Wisconsin’s Road Conditions Seem Better Than Minnesota’s?

Several viewers have been asking why the roads hit by the snow storm in Wisconsin seemed to be in better condition than those in Minnesota. “As soon as we hit the bridge, it was wet,” Kristine Glenna said about her drive from Woodbury to Hudson. “We keep being told that it’s too cold for chemicals to work, and it’s going to be like this for several days, but obviously something’s working in Wisconsin.”

Man Who Allegedly Stabbed Co-Worker Charged With Murder

A St. Paul man and former boxer has been charged with the stabbing death of a co-worker at a Newport business on Thursday. According to the Washington County Attorney’s office, 58-year-old Gregorio Ramirez is charged with 2nd-degree murder. He’s accused of killing his co-worker, 44-year-old Uriel Ortiz, at Bailey Nurseries early Thursday evening.

Shots Fired, Squad Car Damaged In St. Paul Chase

Woodbury Police pursued a burglary suspect through St. Paul late Wednesday afternoon, with the chase ending in a car crash. The pursuit started at 4:15 p.m. in St. Paul, when the suspect in a Woodbury burglary case fled from officers in a vehicle, according to police. Officers followed the suspect, who eventually struck a squad car near East Ames Place and White Bear Avenue.
