A St. Paul man and former boxer has been charged with the stabbing death of a co-worker at a Newport business on Thursday. According to the Washington County Attorney’s office, 58-year-old Gregorio Ramirez is charged with 2nd-degree murder. Woodbury Police pursued a burglary suspect through St. Paul late Wednesday afternoon, with the chase ending in a car crash. The pursuit started at 4:15 p.m. in St. Paul, when the suspect in a Woodbury burglary case fled from officers in a vehicle, according to police. Officers followed the suspect, who eventually struck a squad car near East Ames Place and White Bear Avenue.
