Authorities say alcohol may have been a factor in a fatal snowmobile accident on a Wright County lake early Sunday morning. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened on the shoreline of Ramsey Lake at about 12:51 a.m. near the 5600 block of 33rd St. NW in Maple Lake Township.
Four people were arrested Thursday after a police chase in Wright County ended with the recovery of stolen property, authorities said. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office observed a 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood that had been stolen traveling eastbound on County Road 35 towards St. Michael.
Authorities said they are now treating the case of a missing Wright County man as a death investigation. According to Sheriff Joe Hagerty, authorities discovered evidence during a search in Hutchinson that led them to believe the disappearance of Christopher Rossing is now a death investigation.
Twenty-five-year-old Chris Rossing was last seen on Aug. 23 in Howard Lake, Minn. Since then, two people have been arrested in connection with the case.
Police are investigating after a pedestrian was found injured near railroad tracks in Middleville Township early Wednesday morning. According to authorities, Wright County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 2:35 a.m. reporting a trespasser on the railroad tracks near County Road 5 SW and 51st Street SW in Middleville Township.

A man shot and killed a black bear in Albertville Tuesday night after it was spotted in his yard while his daughter was outside playing, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities received a call at about 7:45 p.m. that a black bear had been seen on the 10000 block of 64th Street NE in Albertville. The caller, Lawrence Engstrom, told authorities the bear walked up to their sliding glass door in the back yard.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman’s home was burglarized during her husband’s funeral Wednesday afternoon.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after an assault at a St. Michael bar last weekend. Details are limited, but the sheriff’s office says the assault took place at the Corner Bar in the early hours of Saturday.
Authorities said a 51-year-old woman involved in a crash with an ambulance earlier this month in Buffalo Township died from her injuries on Wednesday.

A 74-year-old Rockford man was killed Monday after being thrown from an ATV west of the Twin Cities, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
A 74-year-old man is in police custody after he apparently fired a gunshot at his wife during a domestic situation Sunday night northwest of the Twin Cities metro. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a woman at about 7:27 p.m. on the 3300 block of Edmonson Avenue NE that her husband had just shot at her with a handgun.
Maple Grove Police have arrested a man suspected of a month-long armed-robbery spree that mostly targeted fast-food restaurants along the Interstate 94 corridor. According to authorities, Douglas Wayne Gravelle was taken into custody on Thursday. This arrest comes after a string of armed robberies which began in early September. Fast-food restaurants in Sauk Rapids, St. Cloud, Big Lake, Clearwater and Monticello were targeted. A Game Stop video game store in Monticello may also have been robbed by Gravelle earlier this month.
Authorities have released surveillance photos of a man wanted in connection to shooting death of a man in Annandale in late September.
Authorities are looking for a suspect after a man robbed a video game store in Monticello at gunpoint on Saturday. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Monticello GameStop just before 10 p.m. Saturday on the 9200 block of Cedar Street.
Police say the 42-year-old man found dead in an Annandale home Saturday morning was murdered. The body of Kyle Greene was discovered inside of a residence on Poplar Avenue North Saturday morning. According to Annandale Police Chief Jeff Herr, the Midwest Medical Examiner’s office ruled Greene’s death a homicide, but Herr did not elaborate. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says a citizen helped save a 61-year-old Albertville man whose boat capsized early Monday morning.
Two 54-year-old men were involved in two separate farming accidents on two separate farms in Stockholm Township, with one reported dead from his injuries. According to the Wright County Sheriff’s office, the first accident happened on Friday evening when a 54-year-old man from Hutchinson was trying to remove corn stalks that were jamming a corn chopper on a farm on Quimby Avenue Southwest, near Cokato. His jacket got caught, and the man was pulled in to the machine. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
