Several dozen elementary school students in Sherburne County are safe after the bus they were on burst into flames Tuesday. The driver smelled smoke moments before the fire. EyeAerial is a small business out of Zimmerman, Minn. founded by two friends who turned a hobby into careers. If you’ve never heard of EyeAerial, chances are you’ve seen their work. They record aerial cinematography using drones and cameras. It first started as a hobby for Josh Kunze, who is the co-owner of EyeAerial, Aerial Media Solutions.

Woman Charged With Sister In Drug Case To Plead

One of two sisters from Minnesota accused of dealing large quantities of methamphetamine in North Dakota says she will also plead guilty in the case. Jennifer and Jacqueline Weiss, of Zimmerman, Minnesota, are charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of meth.

Man Hurt After Firework Goes Off In His Hand

A 33-year-old Minnesota man was injured when an aerial firework went off in his hand Monday evening. According to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on 289th Avenue Northwest in Zimmerman at about 7 p.m.

88-Year-Old Truck Driver Hits 2 Teens In Zimmerman

Two teenagers are recovering after being hit by an 88-year-old driver in Zimmerman on Tuesday morning. The Sherburne County Sheriff’s office says Barney Horvath hit a 14- and 15-year-old boy with his pickup as they walked along a road at about 10:30 a.m. Both boys were taken to an area hospital; one of them by helicopter.

Charges: Man Raped Girl, 16, Multiple Times In One Day

A 22-year-old man from Nowthen is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl multiple times over the course of one day, according to charges filed Tuesday in Anoka County Court. Kelly Eugene Jenkins was charged by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office with three felony counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with the incident, which happened Aug. 13.
