A new zip line attraction has reopened at the Mall of America after an employee was injured while working on it. A mall statement says the employee was injured by a piece of equipment on the east platform of the Barnacle Blast in the Nickelodeon Universe indoor amusement park around 11:15 a.m. Saturday.

Crews at MOA are installing two zip lines the stretches across Nickelodeon Universe. The zip line starts 55 feet up above the Dutchman’s Deck ropes course.

Outdoor enthusiasts have a new way to enjoy the Minnesota River Valley. Just strap into a harness and hit the new zip line. Lee Kerfoot is owner of Kerfoot Canopy Tours. “My folks own the Gunflint Lodge (near the Boundary Waters) and we encouraged them to do this for several years,” Kerfoot said. Kerfoot’s takes adventure seekers high above the trees and over a steep ravine that suspends them 175 feet in the air.
