Wine calms the nerves, eases aches and pains, and may even provide health benefits depending on which news report is making headlines on a given day. I don’t suppose these articles could possibly feature places in the suburbs for those of us who don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for parking?

Try wild roast or 421, both have areas for free and or cheap free parking near by..

You listed Casper’s Cherokee Sirloin Room on Smith Avenue. It is not in West St. Paul. I think its address is Smith Avenue W. in St. Paul. It changed its name to Cherokee Tavern. Of the two pictures you printed, the one on the left is of the location in Eagan, which also has half-price bottles of wine on Tuesday nights.

The Cherokee is very much i n West St. Paul, although not by much. St.Paul is about a quarter of a block away.

  • Charlene

The Cherokee Tavern is on Smith Avenue S. near W. Annapolis. West Saint Paul is a city in Dakota County, immediately south of the city of Saint Paul.

  • Jenn

Tryg’s, Amore Victoria, Wildfire and Rinata all have free off-street parking. Of those, I highly recommend Rinata – they have great prices on food as well, and the butternut squash ravioli is phenomenal.

  • Marko

The Cherokee is a great place, but Tryg’s is a pathetic joke. Tryg and his mom Nora tore down the old Nora’s to try and go “upscale,” and they have totally failed. These are the same two who own Porky’s, and between the two, the food is better at Porky’s. Don’t waste your money at this dump.

Some of the Stillwater restaurants have Half price wines during the week. Try Savories on wed. the food is pretty good.

  • It's fun in the city

@EMH. There’s nothing to report on in the suburbs. So suck it up. If you’re not going to bother to check if any place has parking available, stay in your boring little suburban world.

Doolittle’s Woodfire Grill has a half price wine special on Mondays. They have locations around the TC suburbs
