With the underlying themes of love, passion, racism, jealousy and murder, “Othello” has come to be known as a timeless classic. “The Scarecrow And His Servant”

Based on the popular book by Philip Pullman, “The Scarecrow And His Servant” has been adapted into a play to be performed at the Children’s Theater this spring. When the scarecrow befriends an orphan boy to become his servant, he begins a journey that includes important life lessons. Following southern African-American life in the 1920s, “Porgy and Bess” has historical and racial significance to the theater as it was clearly ahead of its time.
