Best Vintage Clothing Stores In Minnesota

You don't have to spend $150 on the latest Yeezy t-shirt to look cooler than the next. This is retro cool. This your own style. These are the clothes that will catch your eye because you want them to, not because it's the hottest item on the market. It's style that comes from within. There's a time and place to don the latest dress from Fashion Week, but for now cultivate your own style with clothes from these local vintage stores.

Everyday People Clothing Exchange
1599 Selby Ave
St Paul, MN 55104
(651) 644-4410
www.everydaypeopleclothing.com

Everyday People is a common entry on lists such as these. But as a clothing exchange, there is always something new to be found, and chances are you'll never see the same thing twice. Just perusing the selection of clothes, shoes, belts, purses, and accessories is an event in and of itself. And if ever you do have some vintage items of your own to trade in, you can keep the cycle going while finding something new (old) for yourself.

Scarborough Fair Shop
961 7th St W
St Paul, MN 55102
(651) 224-4182
www.scarboroughfairshop.com

Less actual vintage and more vintage-inspired clothing hangs on the racks at this St. Paul boutique. The store itself feels like stepping into the cosmopolitan dressing room of yesteryear, and you won't be able to resist the selection of dresses, blouses, shoes, that look just as perfect on Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly as they will on you. The jewelry and other accessories follow the same aesthetic. This is timeless wear that will never go out of style.

The Lost And Found
2524 Nicollet Ave S
Minneapolis, MN 55404
(612) 886-1397

For an eclectic selection of vintage clothing for the few dollars in your pocket, The Lost and Found is the place. This is definitely the type of store where you go digging for buried treasure, i.e. make sure you take some time to find the hidden gems. It's a blast just sorting through their ever-changing selection of clothing, and almost feels like an adventure. When you find that perfect t-shirt, blazer, corduroy pants, or hat that would fit on Humphrey Bogart's head, you'll feel as though you've discovered some long lost treasure; something that was lost and is now found again.

Using the word cool doesn't always capture what it's supposed to. It gets thrown around a lot, and has cheapened over time. But that certainly isn't the case with this store. You can find some of the coolest knickknacks, retro toys, clocks, books, foodstuffs and of course clothes, from years past that you really can't find anywhere else. Time Bomb has trove of everything retro. You'll be able to find an awesome outfit, buy it, throw it on, and then spend the rest of the afternoon browsing the multitude of cool stuff on every shelf and rack in the store.
