DEFEND YOUR RIDE: John At Saint Anthony Park

Q: Hi John! Thank you for participating in Defend Your Ride Minnesota. This is a lot of ride! What can you tell us about it? Where did you get it?

A: I got it from Luther Chevrolet in Brooklyn Park. The Yukon is the replacement for the van we had previously, which was totaled when my wife was rear-ended a year ago.

Q: Was there any special reason why you chose the Yukon?

A: Yes, safety!

Q: What is your favorite thing for you to do in your car?

A: My favorite thing to do is take trips with the family. We went on a road trip to Florida with the whole family. There was six of us total. Florida was a fun trip with the family for 28 hours, each way. Lots of bonding time! We have also gone to Upper Michigan and Chicago.

Q: Do you have a nickname for your car?

A: The Truck.

Q: What is your favorite feature of The Truck?

A: My favorite part is the heated seats in the winter.

Q: Least favorite part or feature?

A: Least favorite part would be the low gas mileage.

Q: If your car had a human personality, what would it be and why?

A: It would be a bully, because it's so big!

Q: Do you think bigger vehicles are better than smaller vehicles?

A: Having a bigger car has its perks. For us, it is a perk to sit up higher in the city traffic. It improves your vision of what is coming. We also feel safer driving it with kids.

Q: Is there anything else you'd like to share with us about your big ride?

A: We bought it used. It came with some options that we would have never picked for ourselves, like a heated steering wheel. We've really enjoyed all the perks of the Yukon!
